Start your adventure in Madrid, Spain’s lively capital, with its splendid Plaza de España and the iconic Cibeles Fountain. Immerse yourself in the nightlife and gastronomy with an optional tapas tour that reveals the city’s culinary delights.
Journey through the spiritual heart of Fátima en route to Lisbon, where the Age of Discoveries comes alive in the Belem district. Dive deeper into the Iberian Peninsula, exploring the medieval beauty of Cáceres before marveling at Seville’s Maria Luisa Park and the enchanting Santa Cruz district. Granada awaits with the majestic Alhambra, offering an optional tour to the city’s historic sites.
Cross the strait to Tangier, where Africa greets you with its unique blend of cultures, and proceed to Rabat, Casablanca, and the enchanting red city of Marrakech. Experience the imperial grandeur of Meknes and the ancient medina of Fez, before returning to Spain to explore the Andalusian charm of Cádiz and Córdoba, and the historic depths of Toledo.
DAY 01 SYDNEY – MADRID
Arrive at the airport of Sydney 3 hours before the flight to Madrid.
DAY 02 MADRID
Arrival at Madrid Airport. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
DAY 03 MADRID
Breakfast. Panoramic city tour with a local guide, visiting Plaza de España, Fuente de Cibeles, Plaza de Oriente, Puerta de Alcalá, Ciudad Universitaria, etc. Afternoon free to enjoy the city. Accommodation.
Optional tour: Night Tour with Tapas.
We will explore the most emblematic areas of the city and visit the best tapas bars to experience the flavors of Spanish gastronomy while discovering the secrets of the capital.
DAY 04 MADRID – FÁTIMA – LISBON
Breakfast. Departure to Fátima, an important pilgrimage center. Free time to visit the Basilica. Continue to Lisbon. Arrival at the hotel. Accommodation.
DAY 05 LISBON
Breakfast. In the morning, a panoramic tour of the city, approaching the Belem district where the great Portuguese navigators who crossed the oceans in the 15th century set sail. Free afternoon or the possibility of taking an optional excursion. Accommodation.
Optional Excursion to Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril.
We will take an avenue along the coast observing the beaches towards Estoril, where the largest casino in Europe is located. We will stop in Cascais, a picturesque fishing village with whitewashed houses and summer palaces. We will also visit the Boca do Inferno viewpoint and then continue to Sintra. Located in the mountains, Sintra with its natural park and palaces was the favorite resting place of the kings of Portugal.
Optional Tour Lisbon by Night.
Lisbon is one of the European capitals where the streets can be enjoyed at night with absolute safety. In this walk, you will discover how the city’s neighborhoods come to life at night.
DAY 06 LISBON – CÁCERES – SEVILLE
Breakfast. Departure to the Spanish border to reach Cáceres. Free time to visit its Main Square and the medieval old town, considered a World Heritage Site. Later, continue the journey on the Silver Highway to reach Seville. Accommodation.
Optional Tour of Cáceres.
Guided tour by a local expert in the city, discovering the mysteries of one of the most visited cities in Spain.
DAY 07 SEVILLE
Breakfast. In the morning, visit the city, including Maria Luisa Park, Plaza de España, and the typical Santa Cruz district, etc. Free afternoon or the possibility of taking an optional excursion. Accommodation.
Optional Excursion: Seville and Olé.
Visit to the Cathedral of Seville, the final resting place of the navigator Christopher Columbus and witness to royal weddings. The largest cathedral in Spain and one of the most beautiful. Then, we will embark on a cruise through the Guadalquivir River to see the city from another perspective and enjoy the sunset with its incomparable views. We will continue to the Seville Patio for a traditional flamenco show, Spanish music, and dance.
DAY 08 SEVILLE – GRANADA
Breakfast. At the scheduled time, departure to Granada. In the evening, the possibility of taking an optional excursion. Accommodation.
Optional Tour: Granada City Tour.
In the morning, a visit to the city where the great poet Federico Garcia Lorca was born. Includes entry to the Royal Chapel, where the Catholic Monarchs, Isabel and Fernando, are buried, and the Cartuja of Granada.
Optional Tour: Walk through the Albaicín and Gypsy Zambra.
Night walk through the Albaicín neighborhood to discover the most authentic Granada spirit and enjoy the best views of the Alhambra. In addition, to soak up the gypsy spirit of the city, we will attend an authentic gypsy celebration in the caves of the Albaicín with a included drink.
DAY 09 GRANADA – COSTA DEL SOL
Breakfast. Visit the impressive monumental complex of La Alhambra (bring your passport to enter the Alhambra) with its beautiful Nasrid Palaces and the Generalife (tickets subject to availability). At the scheduled time, travel to the Costa del Sol. Arrival and free time. Accommodation.
Please note that, due to the high demand to visit the monumental complex of the Alhambra and the restriction on the number of visitors per day, it is possible that in some cases:
- The visit to the gardens will be conducted.
- The visit may not be possible.
DAY 10 COSTA DEL SOL – TANGIER
Breakfast and at the indicated time, departure to Algeciras to take a ferry to Tangier. Arrival at the port of Tangier and assistance, visit the new city and its surroundings, starting with Cape Spartel. Ensure you have your camera ready when we stop there, where the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean meet; a strategic point that has witnessed many naval battles. Continue to the Medina, visit the Grand and Small Souk, and finish at La Corniche. Dinner at the hotel and accommodation.
Optional Excursion: Tangier by Night.
We will start by leaving the city to head to Cape Spartel, crossing a forest area until we reach the place of the Strait of Gibraltar where the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea meet, a strategic point that has witnessed many naval battles. We will then stop at the famous Café Hafa. There, we will enjoy a break in this magnificent place located above the sea.
DAY 11 TANGIER – RABAT – CASABLANCA
Breakfast and departure to Rabat. Walking tour of the city to visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Hassan Tower, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas with an impressive view of the Bouregreg River. Continue to the legendary and cosmopolitan city of Casablanca. Panoramic visit; highlights include Mohamed V Square, the Anfa district, Boulevard de La Corniche, and finally the exteriors of the Hassan II Mosque. Dinner at the hotel and accommodation.
DAY 12 CASABLANCA – MARRAKECH
Breakfast and departure to Marrakech, the “Red City.” Visit of the imperial city and capital of the south, where the Koutoubia Tower and the Saadian Tombs stand out, and finally the exotic Jemaa el F’naa Square with incessant activity, musicians, dancers, snake charmers, etc. Dinner at the hotel and accommodation.
Optional Tour: Carriage Ride in Marrakech.
The traditional carriages (carts) are one of the attractions of the city to visit it in a relaxed way. Touring the historic center of the city in them is one of the most charming ways to do it. After having mint tea on one of the terraces of the famous Jemaa El Fna square and watching the sunset, the night carriage ride through the neighborhoods of the old city (the Medina) and El Hivernage (the residential area of the city center) is a very pleasant experience.
Optional: Dinner with Show at Chez Ali.
On the outskirts of the city is the famous Chez Ali restaurant where, in addition to tasting a magnificent traditional dinner, we will enjoy a very varied show with representatives of the music and culture of the different regions of Morocco. The setting is a beautiful setting from the Arabian Nights, and dinner is served in traditional tents (large tents). After dinner, the light, sound, dance, and horse show will begin.
DAY 13 MARRAKECH
Breakfast. Free day or the possibility of taking some optional tours. Dinner at the hotel and accommodation.
Optional Excursion to a Berber village and Camel Ride.
Among the most beautiful natural regions accessible from Marrakech is the Ourika Valley, located in the heart of the peaks of the High Atlas. Exploring this region is an opportunity to immerse yourself in authentic Morocco and its magnificent landscapes. The river that gives its name to the valley winds between the mountains, from which the small Berber villages in the area seem to hang. We will also visit the immense Palmeral located on the outskirts of the city for a camel ride and take some souvenir photos with typical clothing of the desert nomads. Enjoy, during a break, mint tea in a typical house served by our hosts.
DAY 14 MARRAKECH – MEKNES – FEZ
Breakfast and departure to Meknes, an imperial city surrounded by 40 km of walls, with the beautiful “Bab El Mansour” gate. Visit to the city. Continue to Fez, where we will tour the city and stroll through its narrow streets from the 9th century. The old walled Medina is one of the largest in the world, considered a World Heritage Site, with exotic corners, arches, mosques, madrasas, fountains, and craft shops. Dinner at the hotel and accommodation.
Optional Excursion: Show in Fez.
We will attend a show of oriental dance and Andalusian music that introduces the visitor to the magical atmosphere of the ancient Moroccan palaces. We will also enjoy a tribal dance (Reggada) that warriors performed to celebrate victory over the enemy. We will see a representation of the typical Moroccan wedding ceremony with its rituals and songs. The restaurant transforms into a historical space where the country’s tradition converges in its various facets: dance, music, and culture.
DAY 15 FEZ – TANGIER – CÁDIZ
Breakfast. Departure to the port of Tangier to embark on the return to Spain. Transfer to Cádiz. Accommodation.
DAY 16 CÁDIZ – CÓRDOBA
Breakfast and at the indicated time, departure to Córdoba, arrival, and a visit to the historic center, strolling through the narrow streets with its houses and beautiful Andalusian courtyards, the Jewish Quarter, etc. Free time to visit the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba on your own. Accommodation.
Optional Tour of the Mosque/Cathedral of Córdoba.
Guided tour of the historic center, touring its famous white streets, where three cultures lived together for centuries. Our senses will be awakened by the scent of the flowers that adorn the famous Cordovan courtyards. At the end of the walk, entry included to the incomparable Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba, unique in the world.
DAY 17 CÓRDOBA – TOLEDO – MADRID
Breakfast and departure to Toledo to visit the city-museum of great artistic beauty and one of the oldest in Europe, also called the “City of the Three Cultures,” as Christians, Muslims, and Jews coexisted in it. Its buildings cover virtually all periods of history (Arab, Gothic, Mudejar, Renaissance, and Baroque). Here lived El Greco, a great painter of the 16th century. Panoramic visit to the city, including the most important monuments through its narrow streets and admiring the famous typical damascene art (inlaying precious metals in steel). Entrance to the Cathedral included. Return to Madrid. Accommodation.
DAY 18 MADRID
Breakfast. Free day to enjoy this city, walk its main avenues admiring its squares and monuments. Accommodation.
Optional Excursion to Segovia.
You can learn about the history and curiosities of the most representative monuments of Segovia, such as the imposing Aqueduct, one of the best-preserved Roman constructions in the world. We will walk through the labyrinthine streets of the historic center, evoking its medieval past, and visit the interior of its Cathedral, popularly known as the “Lady of the Cathedrals,” for the beauty of its Gothic style with Renaissance influences.
DAY 19 MADRID
Breakfast. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport to take the flight back to Sydney
